I've already recruited the hubs to make this for our kid when the time comes! Hehe... It's amazing to have a husband who's so handy. I tell him that almost every day.
Hop on over to Design*Sponge for more images of this amazing room!
Yep, she was here! The ever lovely, ever funny Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond! If you're not familiar with The Pioneer Woman, here's a video from a recent appearance on Good Morning America:
I've been following her blog for a while now (and you should, too, if you aren't already!). Then I found out that my good friend, Heather, was also an avid Pioneer Woman follower. So naturally when I found out that Orlando was the last stop in her cookbook signing tour, I knew that Heather would be right there with me. So that's where we were yesterday afternoon and Ree was just as awesome and real in person as she seems through her posts. She was so nice!
She had her family meet her in Orlando for the week to spend a much needed family vacation. Catch up with them through her updates here. Thank you for coming to Orlando, Ree! I hope you and your family enjoyed your stay!
We took mom out for a lovely Mother's Day dinner at Bongo's Cuban Cafe. Although, I must say that I didn't get to take any pictures of our food, on account of our hunger! But I can say that I was all delicious! If you're ever here in Orlando, at Downtown Disney, grab a bite at Bongo's. I suggest the Ropa Vieja--YUM!
I'm quite certain I have the best mom on the planet. She's the loveliest, most selfless person I know. I only hope I can be half the mother that she is to my brothers and I.
Of course I couldn't forget about my other mom, or as we affectionately call her, Mudder. She's the strongest, most giving person and I'm so blessed to have her as my mother-in-law.
Can you believe it's May already? Crazy... Where is this year going? It's been a minute since my last post. Here's a little recap of the last couple of weeks.
First we got a visit from two of my favorite girls.
Here is one of my besties, Katie with her awesome little Amelie. I love them both to pieces! They were in town for a friend's wedding and stayed with us for a few days. Nobody was more curious about little Amie than our dog, Mushu. To say he was obsessed was an understatement! See?
He just couldn't stop sniffing and licking her hand. She's so sweet to just let him, too. I miss them so much already! They left the same day I left for Raleigh to see this lovely lady...
My beautiful friend got married this past weekend and I couldn't be happier for her. I had the honor of standing up with her as she did for the hubs and I when we got married. And much like our wedding, this awesome lady got to officiate theirs, too!
I love her. She completes me. And she did a fantastic job with the ceremony, like I knew she would. I was in the company of these lovelies, too. Aren't we precious?
And of course, the bride looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day. I definitely couldn't hold back the tears of joy. I love seeing my friends so happy and so in love.
Congratulations to Tiff and Michael! God bless you both!
And after four days surrounded by love, I couldn't wait to get back to my love. I missed him so much and I was so ready to come back home.
